Controversial influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan have been arrested in the US after British authorities announced further charges against them. The UK's Crown Prosecution Service said Andrew Tate faces seven additional counts of rape and other charges related to sex trafficking and child pornography, while Tristan Tate is charged with sexual assault, rape, and trafficking offenses. The alleged crimes occurred between July 2010 and August 2017.
The US Marshals confirmed the arrests, with a Department of Justice spokesperson stating they were made pursuant to extradition proceedings. The CPS will seek the brothers' extradition to the UK, where they already face 21 charges from a previous case. The Tates have denied all wrongdoing. The new charges bring the total number of alleged victims to seven, according to CPS prosecutor Malcolm McHaffie.
